The season ending race for the Southeast Gasser series was last Saturday (11/3/18) at Shady Side Dragway, Shelby, NC. It was a perfect day, at last the oppresive humidity of North Carolina in the summer was gone and the atomsphere was great for racing. There was a record car count and the spectators were ready for a show. The Gassers did not dissappoint. Here's a sample of what I saw. Awesome!!! The pic of White Trash , brought me back a few decades and reminded me of Jungle Jim and Jungle Pam.
What an excellent race series, i heard there were 32 cars in the final field, that's a lot of gassers!!
Great batch of pictures! The gallery you posted the link to is a "must see''. So many wheels up launches. As usual, I was dorking out on the '57s. No ill intent - I wanted to click and put one on this thread. You have a mechanism in place to prevent that action. Pretty cool idea, and no watermarks. Thanks for posting what was a really great event.
Those pictures are excellent. Love the Gasser's. Nice job Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Neil, there were 70+ cars at Shady Side. This is an experience for every race fan to attend and next years schedule should be out in a few months. Quain Stott is on here and he will get back to you if any questions. This is a great bunch of racers and people!
Great photos, we were there. I finally got a good look at your car, best looking car on the property Tom.
It was a great day of racing. I see from some of the pictures that I was there. Look forward to next year. and really great pictures
