    Neat car, note the inverted louvers.
    Funny, they understood aerodynamics but not electric starters, I suppose that hand crank could be a backup.

    They understood that electric starters and the batteries to run them added unnecessary weight.

    [​IMG] I was wrong, this is a Type 32 Bugatti from 1923 with a Type 30 straight eight engine. A Google search will turn up lots on current photos of restored cars. Bob

  6. God I'm glad someone asked, I thought I should know but didn't, the wrap around of the fenders to the tailpan threw me off.

    If you examine the license plate in the color shot, it looks like it’s been pounded straight(ish). And the imperfections in the straightened plate sort of match where the plate was bent in the wreck shot. Maybe, just maybe, the color shot was taken later.

    That’s what I believe and I’m stickin’ with it.

    I had one of those but a year newer,would like to have another but in much nicer shape.
