  2. Like it or not it appears you are “Our Guys Now”.
Must be great to have such a big team rooting for y’all.
Best trip on here since Bob Ks(rest his soul)Alaskan trip.

  3. Not even taking into consideration that you were driving an old vehicle immediately after you had performed major repairs, which is accomplishment enough. But additionally picking up two trophies is just icing on the cake. I hope that the adventure was enough fun for the both of you that you consider the effort to have been worth while. I enjoyed following your journey.

The old Caddy might make a pretty nice crew cab unibody pickup.

I made it down the pacific coast highway to Oceanside, and visiting my sister. I guess I'll just take the 8 freeway to Tucson, and see how it goes. IMG_20181102_175829.jpeg

Congratulations on a successful adventure. I think most of us would like it to go on a little longer. You two make it fun. All the best for getting home safe.

You pull these adventures off with great regularity and we tend to forget just how amazing these journeys, with old cars that haven't been running for awhile, really are! I am truly jealous of you and David and all of the fun you are able to enjoy together. Looking forward to your next adventure, when ever it happens.

If Jim said a rooster would pull a freight train, I'd say "Hook him up". Thanks for the fun. You make it look a lot easier than I imagine it is.

If you are driving I-8 on Saturday, you might want to checkout the Motor Transport Museum in Campo, CA (about an hour out of San Diego, a little longer in LaSalle time). Their focus is trucks, primarily a older than the HAMB time period.

    http://www.motortransportmuseum.org/

The gate is open on Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM. On other days, if the gate is open, pull in, the LaSalle will get attention from the volunteers.

We are members of this museum, do not get to make the 880 mile round trip too often.

Also there is the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum in Campo. It is on our do list...

That right there is a Chipmunk, can tell by the spiffy racing stripe. Little bastards like to hide in the rain gutters and raid bird feeders.

    If Squirrel says it's a squirrel it's a squirrel.

They might. But, it's a Chipmunk. It is a member of the Squirrel family I guess. That's why formal latin names are used for plants and critters, that way there's no confusing local or regional names, about what the hell is actually under discussion.

You can tell a squirrel, they have a sense of humor.
Got a squirrel been riding my power lines in the back yard, teasing my two hound dogs.
That little squirrel runs back and forth and chit chatters at the dogs below, after about 2 hours I need to go out and toss sticks at the squirrel. Simply all I can handle of my dumb ass puppies, thinking they going to get that squirrel above.
I chase the squirrel away and 2 days later it is back, just wasting time chit chattering at the dogs below and teasing them ..... dumb ass puppies, they should know better then to chase squirrels.

Ground Squirrel. We called 'em gophers in South Dakota.
