  1. Just to stir the pot...
Here's Chris Casny's roadster. Rear bumper is 1" solid ss. It was in Rodder's Journal #69.

    You're welcome. ;)

Ya that looks nice. I have picked up some bigger material to try a bigger one as well.

I'm more from the Ed Roth school of nerf bar design. IMG_1088.JPG

This pic doesn’t have the nerf bar on. I’m building a new one right now. Making it outta 3” pipe...

Picking away at a few little odd jobs now that we’re getting closer to spring. Have the material for the top which is going to be done by the shop that did my seat. Top will be removable with snaps so spent the day laying out the snap bottoms and getting them screwed in. Should look good.

It’s an aftermarket wood kit and is two different types of wood. Front header piece is oak along with the bows and the side pieces are different. Not a hundred percent sure what they are. Was a lot easier screwing the snaps into the side than the front that’s for sure. Had to drill pilot holes in the front

Been looking for a fog light for a while but didn’t want to buy something south of the border with the dollar these days and finally found one locally today almost by accident. Stopped at an antique shop today that I have been meaning to go to for awhile and stumbled across this ol gem on a shelf with a bunch of other old buckets. Quick little buff and she’ll be ready to go. Need to build a bracket to mount as the one on it won’t work.

Have you completed the top yet? I am really interested in seeing the end results. Are you just using snaps only or will you be using Velcro or something similar? I am wanting to do something like this and would love to get some ideas. Did you weld in the visor panel or is it attached with nails under the hidem strip? thanks....

  15. I like the cyclops fog light look, too. Looking forward to seeing how you mount it.

Will just be using snaps. Waiting for the weather to turn before she rolls down to the upholstery shop to do. Visor is screwed and nailed into place

Had a good friend of mine over today doing a full polish on the car. Once the polish is complete then he will do a ceramicoat finish on it. I pitched in and did a bunch of the polishing as well. A lot of work for sure with all the small detail areas. Amazing what a difference the polish made. Running fenderless I figure the more protection the better!

Stagnant at the moment. Concentrating on my move to Arizona. Wanted to install my new suspension to get her rolling again, which was accomplished. Need to put the body back on for her 2,200 or so mile journey for towing on the back of the rental truck that I will be driving. Will continue my build there. Thank you for asking Fitness!
