Here are some pictures from the Moonshine Festival. This was my first time there and went as a spectator. We had planned a trip to Tennessee the previous week and then went over to Dawsonville, GA for this show. I don't think I have ever seen so many '57 Fords in one place. IMG_2899.JPG IMG_2908.JPG IMG_2909.JPG IMG_2910.JPG IMG_2973.JPG IMG_2998.JPG IMG_3000.JPG IMG_3010.JPG

    Most of our time in Tennessee was in Chattanooga, so I stopped in at the Towing & Recovery Museum. IMG_2722.JPG IMG_2723.JPG IMG_2724.JPG IMG_2727.JPG IMG_2725.JPG IMG_2728.JPG IMG_2730.JPG IMG_2733.JPG IMG_2735.JPG IMG_2737.JPG IMG_2742.JPG IMG_2721.JPG

The Coker Tire Museum was closed for renovations, but saw a few things in the lobby. IMG_2874.JPG IMG_2876.JPG IMG_2873.JPG

My wife saw in the Virginia travel guide that there was an auto display curated by Ken Gross at the art museum in Roanoke, so that broke up the 12 hour drive home. Probably my next trip where I can see interesting cars will be to Pomona for the GNRS. Unfortunately, that comes at a busy time for my job, so I can only stay a few days. The funny car was also named Dixie Twister.

The red roadster looks like a Starbird creation

  26. The Moonshine Festival is one of the greatest gathering of '38-'40 Fords, '57-'58 Fords and '60-'65 Fords in the country. We drive 700 miles for this show and never get tired of it.

Just like being there:) Much appreciate your efforts. I really like the race car pics , as my Dad race a 1937 Chevy coupe modified on dirt back in the 60's. Ideally , I want to find a body and make a replica for the street.
