Ditto. Utility fer sure. My 37 Fordor slantback was pretty sexy, even with extra doors. No one hardly noticed until it was time to head to the DQ and they were so surprised how roomy the back seat was, let alone the suicide door entry. Gary

I don’t favor them . But in today’s world a young person starting out this may be the only nice piece of tin they can find or afford to enjoy the hobby with . So they are not my favorite , but if someone is enjoying our hobby , and sitting on his azz in front on the box shooting people on a video game , they work great for me now .

I liked my 31 Buick, and would not hesitate to get a late 50s sedan for road trips, especially if its a top of the line, full dress chrome barge.

Never liked em, here is my standard line about 4 door cars. "that has enough doors on one side for the whole car". even my late model pickup is a regular cab. never understood those 4 door pickups. 4 doors are good parts cars. 4 doors are typically in better condition because they were driven by "old people" .....

1957 Chevrolet Sport Sedan, or 4 door hard top.
Unique roofline. Most were Bel Air models. Black fuel injected car in bottom photo is the rarer 210 model.
That beauty wouldn't get kicked out of my shop!

Nope attitude remains the same, 2 doors only. That being said I am fine with more doors that belong to someone else. I have never owned a 4 door and have promised myself I never will, it's getting way harder to keep that promise, heck you can barely buy a new P/U with only 2 doors. Mike

Well, my first car love was my friends 51 Merc 4 door. I was 15 and "The Mad Bat" had the stance, a mildly hopped flattie & shocked the crap out of some Tri 5 sbc's! 4 door h/t's are kool too....jmo. m

Always been single without a lot of baggage. All my current rides ('37 Chevy pickup, '55 1st series Chevy pickup, '91 Jeep Wrangler Renegade and '17 Caddy ATS-V Coupe) have two doors, six cylinders and three pedals.

My attitude concerning 4-doors has not changed in the 28 years I've been driving my 37 slant back fordor. My high school car was a 34 fordor. That was 1956. Probably should have kept it.

First 4 door that I thought looked ok was a 49' fleetline. Now I think 30's sedans, and some mild customs look fine as 4 doors if done correctly, so ya, I'm warming up to them

  18. No, my attitude is still the same, unless it's a Deuce. That is the only four door I would want, and looks good. I guess I am a bit bias.
    Although this is pretty cool.:p

  19. Nope. I'm 65 years old and have never had a "moredoor" and hope to never have one (even with my modern rides).

  22. I always liked the 4 door cars. Way back when you could buy them a lot cheaper too. Bruce. 002.JPG

Had a few over the years, But I actually really only seek them out in a Wagon! I look at two door wagons the way most view the four doors of said thread... It's an age thing I'm sure...
Car in my avatar, Was probably one of my all-time favorites... But had to have the vintage roof rack

I have grown to like the extra doors for ease of access, and the grand kids.
