    The drivers name is Wally Mitchell, don't know much about him though. Attempted Indy a couple of times but was DNQ.

    Thanks for the info. I had to look around but I think the photo with the model was taken in 1947. The car looks like the same one that Louis Tomei drove in the 1946 500. Both Mitchell and Tomei are listed as using a Brisko engine. Here's a qualifying photo of Tomei from '46. Frank Brisko was based in Chicago and I think Mitchell was from there as well so there must have been some kind of connection there.
