Answered this in the Corvette thread but the Midwest car at this time (probably 64) ran in B/MSP. I do not believe it ever ran in any other class (until 68 when they did away with MSP and the car ran in B/G). I also realize the car besides it is a 65 Chevy but they switched to a BBC in 65-this could be early 65 but I thought 64 (or the 65 Chevy is a new model and it was autumn of 64.. I don't know what picture you're looking at but I see a straight axel, Modified Production rules requires the stock upper & lower A arm suspension to be used. Like Jim Dillon said, the car is running in the B/MSP class...........

^^^^Those are some HEAVY DUTY towing tabs on the front of that 57^^^^! Wonder if they were his early version of a beam breaker at the finish line? And, the 56 is ROWDY Red. Keep up the good work just the same; everyone makes a mistake now and then, especially me. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

  9. I'm not well-versed on Mopars, but I'm wondering if you made a typo and that's really a '58 Plymouth wagon?

A bit confused, so first theres this 'Bodies, engines, drive trains, chassis, etc. may not be altered, modified, or relocated, except as noted in class requirements.'

Then this 'However, year, make, and model are optional.'
So can it be any engine as long as its stock spec, so a stock big block in an A? And am I right in thinking drive shaft, rear end have to be from the vehicle, so in this case, banjo rear etc? Not a great combo I know, just using as an example for clarification.

Basically, the engine must be a production engine. Meaning it had to come out of a car that rolled off a production line. Same for the heads. But any modification was allowed to the engine/heads. Didn't have to have the same transmission or rear end that came in the car. The rear end had to be a "stock type" rearend. You could run a ratchet type posi, but no quick change or locked spider gear type rear end.
