Just didn't feel like it, LOL. I may do so later this week. It's nothing special.

I'll feed my granddaughter burritos and video her for you.

Oh, you meant the OTHER roadster....

Probably not this weekend. I have a hunting competion in northern Nevada. The following weekend I need to get a few deer to fill the freezer.

Ugh, I need more time! At least I live in the desert where we can roadster all year long.

Contest we were hunting this weekend had rain forecasted the whole time so we didn't go. I spent yesterday with the wife, today in the garage.

Where I last left off I was trying to sort out a few small issues like taillights. Got those fixed along with dash lights and interior lights. I had missed that there was a jumper required at the headlight switch. Took me a while to diagnose it but it's all buttoned up.

Working on a few other items still today. Garage door open, occasional sprinkles, stereo on, kitchen smells drifting out here... great day!

You may have noticed the interior was cleaned of all tools and scrap. My son Austin has been helping me throughout the day, and we finished cleaning up all wiring in the trunk too.

Gentlemen, the car is completely wired and tested.

Thanks fellas, getting SO close now!
Thanks E, I wanted the dash to stay free from anything but the dash panel. Figure less is more and I'm super happy with the way it turned out.

Knocked a few things off of the list tonight. Filled the radiator, connected and adjusted the throttle linkage, connected and adjusted the TV cable, then sorted the plug wires.

Time to pour a little fuel down the carb and turn the key! Hmmm... got a serious timing issue I need to work out. We spent some time on it tonight making sure the firing order was correct and stuff, but I'm just exhausted and figured I'd work on it again later this week.

Maybe my next post will be of a running roadster... stay tuned.

Freiburger had a really good video on YT a few years back on dead timing where you bring engine to #1 on compression stroke (air hissing out of spark plug hole), then look at balancer -the timing tab should be lined up at 0*. THEN..... rotate the crank BACKWARDS until the timing pointer is showing 12* (12* advanced). THEN..... drop in your distributor, making sure to point the rotor at #1. Now when you crank it, you don't gotta screw around with the distributor clocking, trying to get it to light off. I've used that method several times and it's brilliant!

  29. Daddio you are like Superman. If I had 11 kids, I can’t imagine doing anything but cleaning up between disasters. But you’re building a hot rod faster than I can, and I’m an empty nester. Keep up the great work. Love all your cars, you have the eye.

Thanks for all of the kind words, LOL. I only have 4 left at home and I envy you empty nesters. A 15 year old, a 17 year old with special needs and two 19 year olds who help a lot. Then again, I drove our oldest and our granddaughter to the Las Vegas airport last night and was so tired I had to get a room. Just woke up and need to get home to work!

    Oh, deer hunt this weekend...

Bob still deserves the majority of the credit for the build, he's awesome!
