  14. Very cool. The wiper motor placement tells me it's a full size car, and the single master cylinder (power!) says it's '66 or earlier.

Most Pontiac guys hate the small/big block thing. Pontiacs are all the same block.....just stretched to the max internally going from 287 to 455 cubes.

  24. You are correct. It's just a click to new for the HAMB. 1966 Chevy Caprice big block wagon, 400 turbo. 12 bolt posi, AC, PS, PB, faded original paint and woodgrain. All factory. I've owned it close to 30 years, I'm the second owner.

I don’t know why I’m so in love with those old style Mickey Thompson Valve covers!

It doesn't get much better on the Ford side of things either. Sure the MEL and 385 Series motors qualify, but the FE is at best a medium block, with its relatively short bore spacing and deck height. And where does the Lincoln Y-Block fall??? It has a taller deck height then any other production V8, except the humongous Ford Super Duty engines, but only maxed out at 368 ci.

Oh, and then there is the Packard V8's with their huge 5" bore spacing (the same as 500 ci Cadillacs), but never exceeding 374 ci in production trim.

Anyways, Here is a pic of a "big" Packard V8.
