    I was 8 when dad bought our 51 in 1952. He sold it in 55 when bough my mom a 55 Sunliner.

    dallenbach.jpg Wally Dallenbach sr, early sixties, sometimes ran the Blown engine out of his rail. The carbs tended to dump over in the turns, lazy off the corner but a rocket half way down the straight. Most of the time he just ran the injected Buick.

  20. After following these pages since the start I suddenly realized the every body in the pics is a normal weight , I wonder at what stage the population started slamming weight on . I know it is the same in Australia now probably the influx of junk food ??

    This was for an inline 12 cyl. the Duesenberg's developed for aircraft use. Of course it had overhead cams and made tremendous power for the time. But it turned out, no airplane existed big enough to use it!! I think they only made one and it is on display in the engine room at the Auburn -Cord -Duesenberg Museum in Indiana.
