Magnesium body too! (except for the aluminum nose-piece) Body by Wayne Ewing.

 

I was in a family vehicle collection a while back, and I remember that they had a similar drag machine but a bit more modern - 'Sidewinder"? Kent Fuller body?
It was interesting with the motor in the back sideways. They said it never did as well as hoped.

 

Beautiful machine, very cool. Art Chrisman's brother?

 

Jack was Art's cousin.

 

Nope ... Jack Chrisman was Art & Lloyd Chrisman's uncle.

Magnesium frame and body... would have become his flaming coffin if it had have crashed.

 

MagwindeR had a mid/transverse engine. the first thought that crossed my mind was MR II.
