Those dang dents on the doors at the top around that belt line are a pain to do anything with. I'm not the greatest body man by any means but I had a heck of a time on my 28. This is going to make a nice little hot rod, great work.

Cleaned the garage, got some motivation, started in on some sheet metal work I’ve been dreading and had a really good time messing with it. Ready to keep working my way around. While still putting off my passenger door.

Screwed up my patch panel. And had some damage I didn’t realize or understand how to fix. So started to fix. Cut the seam to make crap work together. Made it worse. Found some good help. He asked that I removed the rust. I’m about half done He is going to run the planishing hammer around the body a few times. Should make a big difference [IMG][IMG][IMG]

  6. Top looks interesting; but you need to work some crown into it; primarily side to side; but a little for and aft. Think about losing the visor; or if not, maybe look at a '28-'29 painted visor.

Top was photoshopped as well. Don’t think it’s going to have a visor. Top will be flat wood covered in black or white tuck n roll.

  8. Sure; but the point I was making is that a T roof that is actually flat, will end up looking concave, like a bowl, unless you build some crown into it.

Heck yea. Love the photoshop, thanks moose! I’m sure I will make some kind of supports to keep it flat. I don’t want it to bow up either

Have removed all the rust off the main rear panels with a hamburger wheel and started running 80 grit over it with my crappy DA, wiping down with thinner. Should make straightening these panels a bit easier. Going to pull the rear window and panel under it, out of the car after some bracing, to make panel working a bit easier [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Not much of an update. Had a buddy over to do some panel massaging and bumping. Had to dissect it a bit. Have a good plan to fix my screw ups.

That opening looks like a good place to install a rear door!

Buddy came over again tonight. Doesn’t look like much but was a huge step forward fixing one of my big screw ups. Few more steps and will really have something. He’s a heck of a talent, really trying to learn something. [IMG][IMG]
