  1. Dan, you can take action shots, stills, pit shots, detail shots, or just the beautiful scenery; your images never cease to amaze and nobody is bored.

Thanks @catdad49 - I dig those kind of shots too, when they present themselves

I'm glad too John (@Binger) Great as always seeing and talking to you and Chelle(@MrsBinger)

Thanks a lot @Hermanpullersgarage- definitely like hearing that.

    You're welcome Gary (@gary kessler 1932 )

A different kind of action - Mike and Christine Detwiler blasting off from the launch pad (that is what I call it) in their blown flathead Deuce 3 window. That is why the car is a little blurry, but the rest is sharp.

Up in the hills on dirt roads during the reliability run. Don't know the owners, but if I can find out, I will come back and update this post.

The colors coming down from Echo Lake to Idaho Springs were sensational this year.

  13. Yes it was, Dan. Perfect week end, the only way that it could of been better is if I had brought my '29.

Love the pictures but why so long between posts and seems only one picture at a time you must have hundreds to choice from?

Editing the photos takes time adjusting color, cropping, removing things...tending websites...and of course juggling a full time job...;)

Thanks @chop job, @Smiffy and @FlatheadRods. Nothing to be sorry about chop job - it's a legit question. What @Stogy is true - very rarely are any of my pictures posted right out of the camera. I also shoot a lot of repetitious stuff that takes time to go through and select the best one, if any and I always seem to be behind on getting images done. Also, I have found over time that if I post a bunch of pictures at once, not as many people see them because the the thread gets lost. Posting slowly makes it show up on the first page more often.

Sorry for the lack of image today - a lot of regular work.
Here is a before and after, and I am probably not satisfied with the after yet, that shows some of the changes I make. The before is right out of the camera.

Larry Filipczak with a very full Model A after coming through turn 2. I rode up in this car this year in the rumple seat and I am totally amazed that these two fit in there. I barely did by myself.

It was a wonderful weekend and another fabulous road trip with my brother. I would like to thank everyone for all their hard work to make this such a memorable event. The reliability run was so much fun.

Here is a cell phone shot of our photographer at work high up near the pass on the "Oh my god" road. It was great to finally meet you Dan .

Good morning Dan, just wanted to comment on the example of how you work from post #52.

I haven't shot in several years, but when I did Ektachrome 200 was my usual choice.
Your before image reminds me of unmamipulated Ektachome. While the after is very reminiscent of fully saturated Kodachrome. But, it would be very hard to capture racing photos even with the "fast" Kodachrome 64.

Thank you for all the work you do! And, I'd like to leave you with a quote from Alfred Stieglitz:
"In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality"

    Thanks again,
    -Dave

Thank you John - I am so glad you got to come all this way and that it lived up to your expectations.
Here is one of the shots that I took from that vantage point.
