Like it says.. looking for ideas for a 57 bel air hardtop..

Was thinking about going to stock with caps and wwws, but might want to go 15" instead.. I have to buy everything regardless, so open to ideas. I just want to see some pics

Current 15" torque thrust with staggered white letters aren't working for me

Turn the white letters in & call it done. Very nice '57 you have there.

Nothing wrong with American five spokes on a 57 Chevy unless it's those funky 17's.
Cragars aren't for everyone but I think they are timeless on a timeless classic car.

Thanks guys... But for once I finally have a car the wife loves after years of never b dreaming of a 57... And wife likes stocks and wwws, so trying to think up a good middle road. I was thinking chromes with spiders, but good to see it..

For me, the torques are a little too "muscle-y" .. I prefer custom, cruiser look personally

I am a fan of chrome wheels, spiders with dropped spindles for the front or a rubber rake at the very least. However I agree with a couple of the other guys, you have got one fine Chevy just like it sets. If however the WWW helps your wife buy in I would suggest giving it a spin.

Can't figure out editing on mobile, but they don't have to be wide whites. Skinny ok

I'm sorry, but '57 hardtops were made for 5-spokes! Nothing looks better on a '57. I agree with turning in the whites and be done. Or, the older, original straight 5-spokes may be more to your liking.

Not that I am trying to take over his thread but any body have picks of full corvette wheel covers on there tri 5. I've always wondered how they would like as a 15 inch alternative to the factory 14's. P.s. the Astros with wide whites looks good on the black bel air!

This is one tuff look, and the way I remember seeing a lot of 'souped up' machinery roam the street back in the day. I know it's not what the OP was looking for, but just thought it worthy of a mention. :D

My high school parking lot was full of this look in 64, some added baby moons and few had custom wheels, $$$, I still like this look.

CarNut.Com, go to the classic car forum, then to 1957 Chevrolet, or whatever year/make of car you're looking for. Literally thousands of examples. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

I've used both the torque thrusts and corvette ralleys. Like the torque thrusts the best! No white letters!!

Yes disc brakes and drop spindles. I had some old aluminum slots on it but after adding disc brakes they wouldn’t clear the calipers so I went with the good old steelies and powder coated them

  29. 1973...I was bucks-down so I scored these 8 inch corvette ralleyes for cheap from work. Cragar SS's were the current rage at that time but I spent my money on a 327 with 11 to ones, fueler heads, Muncie 4 speed etc etc....
