Take Grumpys advise and go with the old stuff; much better deal and the right way also! Really cool A. Good luck.....Will

Exactly. I found a complete ford set of plates. I’m thinking I should jump on them now before I can’t find them later.

60 in this only lowered in the front is enough for me at the moment Adam. Hahah I’ve got 650s out back.

With a balanced crank and flywheel. Red line from 2500 to 3000?

Haven’t been on here in a while so want to give an update on the car. Going to say my long piece and post pictures. Thanks.

Got it lowered down with a 4” drop Superbell in the front utilizing ‘32 front spindles to heat and bent the steering arms to make it all work. Used the stock tie rod and ends with a bend in the middle to clear the oil pan. Had a buddy weld in the tierod/drag link balls into the spindles too. Made some brackets to hold the mechanical brake arms coming off the ‘32 spring perches. Out back took a few leafs out of the rear leaf spring and got a reversed eye main leaf to get me about 2.75” lower in the rear.

On the inside found a 49/50 ford steering wheel. Got it painted up and machined it to fit the tapered steering shaft. Last was the vortex dual carb updraft intake. When I purchased the car the owner gave me an extra Tillotson X carb so it worked out great. Rebuilt both carbs and got them installed. Both were warped at the flange so had to get those squared up. Runs pretty good after drilling the jets the next size up.
