works well with the model A, still have to think about the T.

i'm growing tired of the rear tire 6 inches over the deck lid look.

i am digging the full wheel cover treatment on a hot rod lately.

i have a T hood, but my Y block will need to go 6 inches past the firewall.

Can you photoshop my buddy’s 49 ford gasser in gold with a white roof? And can you also do the car in a plum crazy type purple too without a white top? And can you put lettering on the side, some kind of 60s style font to say “Glory Bound” on the side?

 

Got a chance at a '58 Ford truck, the only thing I feel was lost in the design was that the top of the bed looks too low, could someone give an example of the bed the height of the hood, sample pic is not the truck im looking at just a sample. Thanks in advance, BigO

Ive kind of had the same thoughts about 60 to 66 GM trucks but after seeing this and looking back I think they got it right, however either might be cool and/or something different if raised just right.
Ive thought about a 60s chev "nostrile hood" on both ends or just the front and regular hood in back of a custom SSR style 60s GM roadster pickup in my dreams

Here's another way to achieve a balance between the cab and bed:
Two inches sectioned out of the hood and cab, then an inch out of the roof.

 

A local photographer did a photo shoot at the shop. Could someone get rid of the two late model cars parked on the street on the left side of the picture? Whichever pic is easiest.

I think the 2" section and 1" chop looks better
It makes it look slimmer and not as bulky looking. Just MHO Frank

Good Day Photshop Gurus,

Am trying to convince someone NOT to do the below (yes, another one of those clown cars) but he is a strong willed individual. My point is, if you're going to get the cutting disk out, at least move the rear axle and arch further back so that the wheelbase is not THAT short. May work as a "what if Ford offered a sporty personal luxury car above the Mustang but below the Thunderbird"... Any takers?

Thank you madfish that looks great. Now I have both. I also like the been in a drawer for years look, that's great.

 

Here is a quickie with the roof also lengthened and deck shorter, also moved the side scoop back some. I think it might be better if it was on the quarter only

Just playing about with this a bit more. Not seen the typical Barris style window frames on a four door Merc before.

 

I couldn't figure what the hole in the hood was so I just left it out....

I like this very well, maybe it was the hood that looked odd and not the bed, the truck looks like one guy designed the cab another the bed and yet another the front end , the grille looks to long and just a stuck on after thought and lots of odd empty space around it. Oh well that's why we do what we do I guess, fix'em. Thanks for the help.

You could almost make the car palatable with that wheelbase if you really wanted to get out the axe...

Those should be one of the easier ones to do a two door sedan conversion on by using 2 door doors,moving center post back and filling quarter etc. but then you would only have a 2 door 64 fairlane, so??? I like 2 and 4 doors of those pretty good.
I drove a 2 door post/sedan factory burgundy, raised front and back with aluminum slots, (skinnys in front) for a time years ago

@ Low Budget: that's what I told him in the 1st place but his answer was it would be just another replica of an iconic car (Thunderbolt). I'm also OK with the 4 door (dad had one in Israel in the 60s and I'm in the EU where we don't look down on 4 doors, lol) but, like I've said, if you have to modify it like he wanted, that bunched-up wheelbase does not work on any US-made car (unless it's a Crossley or an American Austin, but that's like saying "any small European/Japanese car").
