Picked up a pretty nice hood and an old filled shell for the roadster. One of the greatest things about building these cars is how the parts seem to find you and things just fall together when you get going. I promise I will actually do some work soon just been tied up on a different project the last couple weeks.

 

This is going to be a cool build. Will be following along.

Looking good!!--------I sell FOMOCO Blueprints on the HAMB, in case you need all stock dimensions.
Also you might re-think the flattie, '39 box, & old rear end ,IF you plan on driving it. I went that route in 1962, after shearing the "cob" in the '39 box, & twisting the axle keyways, I went to B/W 4 spd, open driveline, '57 wagon rear, Posies rear spring kit, everything good at 300,000 miles now!----Don

Haven’t done anything to the 32’ lately. Been trying to finish up an AV8 roadster to sell. Spending some time going thru stuff to figure out what hardware and other parts needed to start getting body attached to the subrails and move forward on patch work.

 

Don your forgot to add the coolest part of the upgrade on the roadster is the cobra motor bought from the man Carol Shelby incorporated

 

There has to be a way to save that art work... It is really bitchin

nice lookin Victoria project with a nailhead. Care to share some details?

 

It's a project we are building for a customer. 31 Vicky on a 32 frame. Nailhead, Super T10, and a quick change. Running 35-36 radius rods in the back with a narrow model A spring. Front suspension is a dropped 33-36 axle, split 35-36 wishbone, round backs, Lincoln brakes and boling bros Buick drums. 16 x 8 American Rebels with 8.90-16 dirt trackers and 15" American rebels with Firestones up front. There is some pictures of it on our Instagram page.

I have a 28 AV/8 roadster that I just returned with the back half from B'ville.
Trying to do some thing similar to what a 15 y/o (me)would do in 55.
Flat head z'eed frame, drop axle, and all the small things I can remember.

I put together a post war build a few years back...never got it finished before T-man bought it. Everything was pre-1947 except a 49 dash and a T-5 trans.
It was a 33 ford PU my dad might have built when he came home from the war. These builds are fun!

 

This thread really epitomizes what modern hot rodding is all about. Kudos to all those really talented fabricators and panel beaters that resurrect the dead; beautiful work. Following intently.

 

Haven’t been able to spend much time on the Roadster project lately. Between the shop, yardwork, and a major bathroom remodel it seems like I only get to focus occasionally, but when I do it’s enjoyable. I have started tofigure out some of the back of the body and getting a handle on the work ahead. Trying to save as much of the original wheel wells as possible.
