1914 the sidelights are definitely the 1914 style. The 1912 had Gray and Davis square electric/coal oil combination lamps.

I would just love to have a Hudson pickup, about a 1937 would be good.

 

I remember that episode well. Even though Lumpy was a dickhead I hated to see that 40 convert abused!

A 53 210 convert would be a rare find today. I remember a Leave it to Beaver episode when Wally bought one and I thought someone must have put 210 trim on a Bel-Air. I must have been pretty smart for a little kid, huh?

Being from Oregon my self... actually I still live in Oregon... I really like seeing pictures of the area..in fact Redland Maggie posted a picture along while back of the old Goble Oregon store from way back that got my attention as my house is about 300-400 yard behind the store ...thought that was cool...my great-grandfather built the house in 1905.... anyways my problem is the postings that Gary Reynolds and Redland Maggie are doing, except the last couple that Gary did, are showing up as red X's ......what's going on... I am using a tablet as my device...do I need to change something? all the others are ok..... I sure would like to see what you guys are posting....Help ?......Thanks

That dreaded "red x" shows up on devices other than laptops or home computer screens. I tried to read HAMB on a small tablet and it was ok to read, other than some of the photos had "x" in the box. I tried opening in another form and no go. So, when I got home, I used my laptop and the photos all showed up.

Another experiment was trying to send a message via a HAMB conversation. It worked. But, trying to post to a thread on that tiny screen did not work at all. Besides, viewing on a small rotating screen was better, but the "red x" still showed up. Tablets and phones are weird. So now, viewing and posting is done on the 17 inch laptop or larger home computer screen. Those two never fail to show photos or links. (except for the photobucket screw up back a few months ago)

Our phones and small tablets are handy, no doubt, but are used for search features or maps. Check your device settings or change over to any size laptop. HAMB does work on a 14 inch Chromebook quite well, too. My granddaughter's Apple Mac 13" shows great images with that famous Apple screen resolution.

 

And this is the result from all that hard work ! El Torro 1931 Model A roadster built in 1958. Oldsmobile powered. Still exists on the Island today.

I'm always amazed that there's so much misinformation about the Hudson Motor Car company, which made over 3.5 million vehicles, dominated NASCAR in the 50's, and sold three brands (Hudson, Essex, Terraplane) all over the world. Hudson made light trucks from 1933 to 1947. The later trucks were well received as a precursor to later "car-trucks" like the El Camino. The 1946-7 trucks were quite popular and an amazing number survive. Unfortunately there was no truck in the industry-leading 'stepdown' series, although a couple of prototypes were produced.

 

Now this shop likes oddballs . Small Vauxhall Victor wagon, Fiat 600 and behind the pump looks like a Renault Dauphine.
