Drove our Y block 49 in slime green 14 years. Then the reconstruction as usual took longer and got more involved with a subtle haircut in the mix. Its my wife’s car so she made the decisions , can I have an automatic “yes dear” can I have power steering “yes dear” can I paint it denim blue “yes dear” . We upgraded the suspension so now it actually has suspension travel and is no longer 1” or less from the bump stops, and it rides very nice .

  9. Here is a picture of my'49 coupe. Another 6 cylinder. Making it's Bonneville debut next week. Ran out of time and had to give it a flat black driveway paint job. Hope to get a picture of the engine this weekend. IMG_0121.JPG

Here';s my '51. I've had it since 1987. It has a '51 Merc engine with Edmunds heads, a Rochester 2GC, a Mallory dual point distributor, and a set of Fenton headers.

EDIT : I have since changed the air cleaners to something better. They were all I had at the time. Seemed to work, though.

This is the source of my handle, 50Fraud: It's a '51 Victoria (1st year for that body style), but will all the trim replaced with the simpler '50 trinkets:

  20. In the grocery store parking lot today. I just installed a big fat 4-core radiator and I’m testing it around town. 6B8A4833-743F-4959-9966-F99E65E4AA6D.jpeg So far so good. Outside temp is 110, and the flathead never got above 190. Big improvement.

Here’s my ‘50....pretty stock...more Fordbarn than HAMB. My grandfather and I restored it 24 years ago (I was in high school). Holds a very special place in my heart...actually started my car addiction.

Thanks guys! That pic is a little decieving, it needs a good bodyguy to smooth out the rough edges, but it will do just fine for now.
