A hot rod? I was told trucks can't be hot rods. 1-8-17 025.JPG

This was one of George Poteet's earliest pickups, 292 Chev six, glide, 8", and the ifrst of the Brookville roadster extended cab pickup bodies.

Fail to see anything about it online.

anyone have any recent pics of it, or know of its whereabouts?

Always loved the fang grille of the 54 Ford. These are before and after of mine. 20170426_204000.jpg 0406131059a.jpg

I've made some changes, hope you guys like them. The paint is 20 years old as is the original build, its my hot rod, not nice enough to be a street rod. DSC07097.JPG DSC07100.JPG DSC07102.JPG

I think that there is a fine line between hotrod and streetrod as has been discussed in other threads
These are a couple I think fit the hotrod bill. Just my opinion and we all know what they say about opinions. Screenshot_20180811-225627_Google.jpeg Screenshot_20180811-224413_Google.jpeg

  13. My 1941 Chevy "hot rod" pickup, 2900 lbs and just shy of 800hp, with my new pulley it should be over 800, full manual valve body. It's not very practical because it has a drinking problem, but it sure is a lot of fun.

  14. Yea, my coupe has a drinking problem also. Maybe we should get them together and have a intervention . LOL.:D Love the truck!

  15. I always thought that the 34 Ford pickup was the ultimate in hot rod trucks so that was my choice when I built my 348 powered truck.

Had this for 10 years, still miss this truck. Hauled all sorts of crap in it, even to go get the Christmas tree. Sounded awesome (belly burner straight pipes), ran like a top (50 Merc flathead).

Strikes me more ‘restorod’ than hot rod, as nice as it is, it's too subtle to yell HOT ROD at me.

  25. There are so many trucks in this thread that meet the requirements. Really love this list. This one in particular did it for me.
