  4. This oldie is based on a late 1940s Austin A40 pickup body. You know, usually seen as gasser's.

    Downtown Des Moines was a magical place when I was a child. The numerous wonderful variety of stores. The bustling of the people lining the sidewalks. I well remember the electric buses and the wires that powered them hanging over what remained of trolly tracks in the street left from the era when trollies roamed the streets of downtown Des Moines before my time. During Christmas time there would be Christmas songs filling the air as a gentle snow filtered down upon the cheerful people walking along the sidewalks. I don't exactly know when it all went away but it's not that way now

    Michigan Ave in Dearborn Mi used to be that way also with Christmas lights hanging all over.... Not any more.... :(
