  9. Got the engine back from the machine shop this past week so this morning we threw together an engine table and started on the valve seats. [IMG][IMG] My dad put our vintage valve seat grinder to use and it works great! He gave me a rundown on how to do it and what to look for and away I went [IMG]

  10. Oh also the block got punched out to .125 over. I think it calculates to 258” with the stock ford crank

  20. The machine shop only found one crack in the cylinder bore when they magnafluxed it. I figured it was cheaper to just have them install a sleeve rather than find another usable block.
Ide like to be able to drive down the road in this car by mid October but theres still a lot of work ahead...

  26. Well we got the motor in the car, just not exactly how I wanted to do it... when I cut the torque tube I also cut the same amount out of the driveshaft. Sounds logical but reality isnt always logical.. the drive shaft is about an Inch and a quarter too long for some reason. Soooooo we removed to torquetube and shaft and set the engine in the car without it. We will fix my mistake tomorrow [IMG]
