Maybe I should’ve said add a few more 0’s on the back of that $900.00. ????
It isn’t going anywhere for a while......I’ve had it longer than Clem’s had it..... but Doc’s welcome to it anytime. ;).

    Geeze,
Just noticed that I really haven’t posted anything on the W.E. All year!!!!! Not too much to add though. Lots of stuff going on around so I really haven’t done anything Hot Rod related. :(

Been watching the “Board” and commenting on some Kool builds, and there’s been some real nice ones !!!!! We did get out to breakfast in our HR’s a few times, each time a new destination. 4A068108-32DE-4BB9-8C38-04FBC4699F80.jpeg 0DE47F28-5013-47C4-8FB3-BA36AE112ADD.jpeg 123A7C51-EF69-4548-B86C-F6E295907FE0.jpeg 3EE5B538-0ABA-4AA4-95EA-FF81130529B7.jpeg So we needed a HR co-pilot so 4 mos back we got “Lucky”! She was 8 wks old when we got her and she’s a great co-pilot!!!!! Presently she’s twice the size of this pic. 9E969379-132C-497E-8C4E-0426570A5267.jpeg So I hope she won’t get so big to want to jump out of the W.E. when it gets its threads......the doors are much taller in a 32 ;).
Gotta get back to work on the W.E.!!!!!!!

I have drilled ones on the rear, they’re Hooked up ;).
The fronts are not red yet or hooked up yet. As when I get to that, I’ll make sure you’re the 1st to see it Wyatt. :).

@Cyclone Kevin...a little something to inspire...I have made a few structural changes, one and I'm sure you may be contemplating it as I know you mentioned Adjusting is the Grille/Shell down in the front with the Grille also tilted back slightly.

Looking at other pics with this Hotrod going through so many changes there were Rad High Periods and the pic I saw it was I believe Shell-less...I threw in a Hallock style Windshield and some other things that I thought belong...so hope you like it...;)

    Stogy,
This is fantastic!!!!!!!!!!all of it looks great, I wish that I could just pull either a Samantha Stephens or a Jeannie Nelson move there and poof it would be all there.
I dig what you’ve done to Clem’s-Doc’s Waske Effect, now I just need to implement them. Please PM me so we can discuss all of the changes.
    GREAT JOB!!!!!!!

This is a long shot but is there a chance this is your roadster...there are obviously many things not what your ride is now however it has some familiar trademarks and like many Hotrods they go through many upgrades over the years not to mention changing hands.

    Hope all is well Kevin...;)

Looking this one over, it’s channeled, got non-tapered doors, the cowl hasn’t been reshaped and it has wheel wells and no rear rolled pan. So I don’t know.........
    Great Hot Rod though!!!!!!!!
    Merry Christmas Everybody!!!!!!

Here we are in May, much has happened and continues to happen. So not much car progress has happened at all since about Nov. :(.

All’s I gotta say is that since my dad past away 12 yrs. back I’ve been fighting an uphill battle with retaining something in my family’s history and something that I’ve known my whole life.

His wife and her offspring have created a huge financial debt which I’ll now have till I’m 82 and I’m now 55 has really changed the way that the things that I’ve worked so hard to gather keep and build when I’ve reached this stage of my life is now not in flux with what I’ve loved for many years of my life.

The “Waske Effect” has been frozen in time as a result, but so has everything else I have I hope just for the moment......can’t exactly pin point a time when a major move forward will happen, we continue to do little things to it.

Really haven’t taken any pix, still pretty much looks the same, but it runs pretty darn good. We’ll do a progress report in the future. Thanks for looking over the thread.

@Cyclone Kevin, I hope that it all sorts itself out way sooner and I hope you have perhaps another Hotrod or Custom you can in the meantime Hop in for a Salvation and form of Therapy Ride to escape what sounds a little overwhelming...Jeeze maybe you can get the Ole 29 roadworthy prematurely to finishing ALL the details to do that ride...;)

This photo may have already appeared on this thread, but I decided to post it even though I haven't had a chance to go all the way through this thread yet...just in case. Stolen from Stogy's "Homogenized Hot Rods" thread...with credit to Stogy, photographer and owner...

Ya Know MissysDad every one of us with a pieced together Project or Hotrod that had some altered Hotrod like mods done to them knows theres a potential of a historic link to any of the great events of the past and Kevin's Hotrod...yeah that's some provenance eh...:). I always think and wonder where my Ole Jalopies been but I doubt its seen the 265B action...I covet it but Sitting in a Lakes Hotrod has got to have some Major Positive Ions emitted that's for sure...

The AHRF Stamp of Approval doesn't hurt either...;)

Took your advice and took a ride with our PRC brothers on a ride in memory of the late Pete Henderson who only lived a couple blocks away from me. Will miss that wealth of information, just a plain good guy. 447B3DD6-84DF-4F4A-98D0-966E1A6E1E93.jpeg 3C3BB7E6-7791-4CE5-BAF9-BB2958A3FC23.jpeg

On a side-note; I got a note from the young lady that I received Clem's steed from. Gave her the link to the build, she’s reading it now. I’m really glad that she’s able to see that what I saw that day when she told me about her 29, that I cared about it as well.
I always have her to thank her for thinking of me as well as becoming it’s next caretaker. Can’t wait to tell Doc about it....:).

Looking at the top photo, this 32 resembles Clem’s. Most service men during and after WWII, built some Bitchin and similar styled Hot Rods. I stopped by Doc’s to pay him a visit & grabbed a few shots. Clem’s old shop is like the Addams Family’s place , a true museum maintained by Doc & Violet.
72DB2F0C-5227-4258-A083-789E52A0E20D.jpeg Check out this kool signage that Clem penned/painted for his sign painting biz.
Look closely as the character is falling off the ladder.
And below Clem hanging out in the WE,
I’d surmise that this is right before the mods to the cowl & doors??? (He’s not here to confirm it though)
:(. Lastly the shot of the very same house back in the day where this car was built and Doc still resides. AE7FAD43-4386-42B6-9030-08CC207CE5F2.jpeg

Clem’s steed is still loving your contribution to its continued existence. Thank you Frank for having it and selling it to me. Here’s a nose shot. How’s yours doing?

This was just emailed to me by Doc & Violet.
They are Clem’s SCTA 1945 and 1946 Memberships and his Southern California Roadster Club Membership Card as well. So these are really historic pieces to add to the cars history. What a nice surprise.

So one of Clem’s 1947 trophies came home with me today, Doc has the other and he wanted me to be the caretaker of this one, it’s really great to have this piece of history to put with the W.E. Clem earned it and he deserves to remembered in creative Hot Rod History, who else would build such an eclectic 265b racer like it? What a priceless piece Kevin...is Clem sticking his tongue out...sorta looks like it maybe an illusion...:p...but many times they were just as kooky as we are today...I tell you every time Hambers chime in I'm relieved we are getting through this CV crap together.

Stay safe...and thanks for sharing that...did you say 265 lbs...

Kevin I am glad that the little parts and pieces that are part of the history of Clem’s car are in good hands. Frank
