It's looking really good Tommy. I haven't been around a lot lately, but when I do sign in, I always check out your build. I'm impressed. You've come a long way and built a good looking, yet unique car the old fashioned way...left overs ! Good job, and I can't wait to see it on the road. It won't be long now.

Just not on here a whole lot lately. You're going to love driving it. I drive mine a lot... It's been on the road four years and just had to replace the tires.

    GOOD:
New Injector hoses Shipped out yesterday from Hilborn!
    20180611_134713 (Medium).jpg
    SAD:
The Stacks look Kinda sad....Too Ratty!
    I just can't bolt'em on like this!
    1. ~$1000 to have them chromed...
    2. Afraid I'll never see'em again if I send to Chrome...(Hilborn don't make these anymore!)
    Any Chrome Shop Recommendations?
    Options?
    3. Half the Chrome peeled off...How do I get the rest off?...Muriatic Acid? ..Or Probably lots o' grinding?
    4. Paint or Maybe I can find one of those Chrome Paint Guys on the Island...Any Good?

If there is any chance you're going to have them rechromed, I think you should not grind on them. Most of the cost of chrome plating , is the polishing. If they have to polish out grinding scratches, it will cost more. Having the chrome shop remove the old chrome may be the most efficient option.
No more heat than those will see, you can get away with some kind of powder coating or paint that may be close enough to chrome. I don't know how close they can get these days.

Tough call but very little on these things don't tug on the wallet.

340 heres an old thread and it says that was an inexpensive part of the process however zoom to 2018 and I'm sure it is more...how much maybe very little. Maybe you can get it stripped, then polish, and clearcoat/gibbs...

    Hurricane?
We were working in Hilo on Sep. 14...Phone's going off "Cat-5 Hurricane Watch".
Ditched the Rental truck and Hotel and jumped on the last flight out of there...
Luckily it missed but we got a lot of rain on all the islands!

WOW, I ain't been on Hamb in awhile. the new fuel hoses are perfect... also like all your other work.

I know a guy that does chrome or nickel plating under the table. I'm going to show him the picture of your stacks, and ask for a price. (what saves me a lot of $$$ is doing ALL the prep myself, the he just dips)
