In East L A we would sit on the front porch and wait for the whistle of the Helm's Bakery truck. He would stop and open up the donut drawer and there was heaven. Every kind you could think of. We also waited for the Good Humor man to come by with his speaker playing the familiar jingle. what great days those were.
There was also a truck that came down the street with fish on a bed of ice. Mom cared, but we didn't. Thank you all for posting these great pics.

Could we give the lame attempts at "humor" a rest? Most of the time it just displays your ignorance, poor taste, or childish senses of humor. It wastes time for the rest of us who are enjoying the pictures. The stupid comment about the Helms truck is an example. "Salami" ha, ha!
