I didn't go last year, but do they still line up on Wednesday morning to get the best tent spots?

I’m coming down with 5 or 6 others on Wednesday. I’m sure I’ll run into many more once I’m there. :)

I will be there in my 40. Looking for room closer than the 20 minute away one I have reserved.

Okie, try La Quinta Inn 4125 Preston Highway Louisville. 502-368-0007. Less then 5 minutes from Fairgrounds and a nice place.

Okie, a friend stayed there and really liked it. Its an upgrade from the usual La Quinta's, its really nice. Lots of rodders stay there and they also have a free BBQ in the parking lot for rodders. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

    PM sent.

B.A., post 3, Line up on Wednesday? A couple of years ago I was in Louisville on Tuesday and when past the fairgrounds there were tents already up. When I asked a NSRA rep about it and he said "you must be mistaken". Give me a break, NSRA should just admit that some people are allowed in early for some reason.

Those are larger tents rented from local suppliers.

Been There, Done That ! Everyone should attend this show at least 1X, myself around 6/8X over the years, Great show IMO, Used to have All the vendors/manufactures there with UPS on grounds for your shipping needs. You have a 1 in around 14000 chance to bring home a New Ride from the big drawing, one Hell of a Door Prize IMO, NSRA has great drawings and prizes, years ago won a $500 prize/certificate from Hot Rod A/C. It's a Happening for sure. Some tips for a first timer, It's Hot/Hot there in August, Water, the Trams/maps and A/C buildings are your friend, remembering 90's into 100's everyday I was there, AND if you drive your Roadster in evening, the storms come up quick, sitting in super club, drinks/steaks, we notice lighting, big ass storm came through, too quick for my car and me to try to do anything, opened door and the water ran out, sat on motel towels and changed pants at show, had to let car sit out in sun, took several days to dry out, Ah, the fun of a Roadster.

the roadster, no not those. Lots of blue pop ups and cars under covers. Take Rt 65 south from Jeffersonville and glance over at the fairgrounds. My first LV was '94 and nothing has changed. It's no big deal, if you really need to "power park" your car so that everyone needs to see it and never move it during the entire weekend so be it.

Saw the extended weather forecast for Louisville that said cooler then normal temperatures expected the start of next week. Lets keep our fingers crossed that this could be one of the Nats without the opressive heat.

Weather has been good the last few years. Our club, Vintage Tin, rents a 100 foot tent. Fits 20 cars. Been doing the tent thing the last five years. It's worth the money, especially if its hot or raining. See ya there.

Yes woodiewagon46 there are always tents on the grounds before the show opens. When I was a NSRA state rep I was always getting questioned about that. All I can say is that NSRA belongs to Vern Walker and he does with the shows and membership what he wants to. He has never listened to ideas from members or his field team members

    Don,
Don't know if Louisville is ready for 4 Injuns. One was bad enough. When are y'all arriving and where are you staying?

This is what i was told. The nsra takes "control of fairgrounds" @ Midnight on Tuesday/Wednesday Morn. Expo lets tents set up early. This ain't the gospel, just what i was told by a rep.I didn't see it on the internet so i"m not absolutely sure it's true. ;<)

B.A. I think you have it right. They open the gates early Wednesday morning and allow the set up of the tents. Are you going to try and set up in the same place?
