Projects Barn find European '32 fordor

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by HaroldDegand, Jul 14, 2018.

  1. Hi guys, I am really proud and excited to introduce you my barn find.

This is a European 1932 Fordor made in Asnières in France but found in Belgium.

    Only 3 #digits VIN.

There is no engine for the moment, but a flathead V8 will be fitted in.

Note the 4 suicide doors, Marchal headlights (typical on french models), dual glove box, and hood louvers on a raised panel.

    Here some pics.

  5. Thanks ! No, the car had a collision on the right front side.
Frame must be checked, maybe bended.

Great find! How did you do it? I am guessing a Ram pickup is not all that common in Belgium, either.

  9. congrats ! have fun with the new project

  10. I think I had a good star above my head.
3 Years, I'm looking to buy one.
    And one day ...

We see each day more Ram here. As a commercial vehicle, taxes are cheap.
This one run on LPG. Fuel is expensive, here !

    Many euros, well spent.

  12. That trunk is sure BIG. I hope it gets restored. Be sure to visit fordbarn.com also. I have an early "barn find", US built, 4 door that I hope to get to some day, its' on the bucket list.

    Congratulations! Beautiful car.

  14. Very nice find Harold. Nice to see another Euro Deuce resqued.
The tudor in my avatar is also made in Asnières, France and is an original V-8, but with American style body
and was found in Belgium too (near Gent)
It also has a 3 #digits VIN number.
    Good luck with your build.

Will the Marshall Headlights stay, or do you want to swap them for some original '32's? Bob

    Thanks for all the photos.
Quite interesting to see so many differences compared to the U.S. model, such as different swage/belt lines, completely different dash, etc.

  23. I'm not a big fan of the Marchal lights. Should be swapped for the US model

  24. An other big difference, the skeleton of the body is made of wood.
Sheet metal are nailed on it

    Nice find !
I just sold my euro Tudor.
Buy some quarter panels and build a European 5 window coupe with suicide doors........or do what you want as it is your car.

  28. Don't worry !
