First photo is my first car shortly after buying it.
Second is my brother and friends installing a 57 Lincoln engine into it.
Third is the 35 Ford Pickup I bought for $100 and drove it home (back in '65).
Fourth is my second car, blue and white 55.
Fifth is my third car, '63 Galaxie XL with 406 tripower, 4 spd, 4.11 rear.
Sixth is a good friend's 37 Chevy pickup with 327 Chev and 4 spd, 4.56 rear. Owned by Ladair Whitson from Rolla, MO. He used to run at the original Ozark Raceway in Springfield, MO, and then at Rogersville, MO.

  14. The damage was scratching, but even more it was the principal of the thing , Dad paid hard earned money for the car and it was disrespectful for you to park your ass on it.

    Hello,
Nice post on the Dragmaster "Two Thing." It was a very unusual twin motor set up in those early days. The extra wide Dragmaster designed chassis and the twin, front mounted 671 blowers. The top "Two Motor" FEDs were Muddersbach, Howard Cam Twin, Freight Train, Eddie Hill, Tommy Ivo, etc. The creation of this twin from Carlsbad, CA was probably to keep up with the competition for those top eliminator wins.

In 2017, I stumbled upon the Dragmaster "Two Thing" on the floor of the Price Transfer Lions Dragstrip Museum main floor in all its glory. It was nice that the participants were able to have dinner and talk, while immersed in the pristine drag racing vehicles spread all over the floor.

As far as the sound of this Two Thing racing:
Just double the sound of the original Dragmaster single SBC filmed in 1959 at Lions Dragstrip.

  18. I really like the 2nd photo, getting it done at a such a young age,2 thumbs up.
