By far one of the crudest forms of racing but never lacking in
    influential individuality.

So Anthony I found a pic of the same racer and it is a Supermodified Class Stock car
that seems to have been an evolution from vintage bodies in the later 50's to mid 60's

  9. That might just be painted glass or plywood . About 30 years ago i had a model A sedan with a cracked windscreen along the lower edge. Would not get through it,s roadworthy test so i just painted the lower 3 inches, full width. Passed it,s test.

Thats very possible it is filled and painted as you say...It's interesting that the whole car is sectioned, channeled or both minus that aft cowl section as they are sitting high and if they cut that down they would be in the wind.

When they dropped the tank and cowl sides down there would be a void to fill...or is that just a standard height windshield area?

That is a coupester or some kind of cut down as the posts look solid. Those fellas look crammed in there. Model A's are small inside...that I do know.

    Great observations Gaz.

  11. I think those door openings have been filled in and then cut half open like the old speedway jalopy,s. I can,t see an actual door.

Thanks I think it’s cool also, and I know it’s black.
However, when I looked around 2 1/2 years ago to find a 34 coupe, it wasn’t common to find a car that was steel and didn’t have a 350 Chevy with a TH350 automatic.i think that combo is what I think about when I hear Homogenized.

After I found this car I have made over 50 changes and additions to make it mine. I love driving the hell out of it.

    webgrille.jpg

I'd say this was a groundbreaker to a wave not popular here...perhaps even Kookie ll pipe influence...but it is way before its time, period correct and it is to be noted it doesn't share so many of the other features associated but it was a start just as what Is popular here had to have an orgin or beginning.

What it does show is the division could have easily started with that mod on the grille...

    A truly amazing shot.
