    The second pic is kind of deceiving, it actually appears to have been a very well groomed dirt track. I don't recognize it and have no idea where it was located. My best guess would be that it was a Midwest fairgrounds horse track that was only rarely used for auto racing, probably IMCA.

    Not as I remember it. All v-8's got the v. Big blocks also got crossed flags.

  12. Yes, I was a lucky kid. My Dad used to bring home all sorts of oddball Chrysler products. My neighbor was a Chrysler engineer and was one of the testers for the Chrysler Turbine. I never did get a ride in it, but I used to get up every morning just to hear it start up when the guy went to work. Sounded like a somewhat muffled Learjet. One of my other neighbors was a hot rodder. The kid across the street ALWAYS had high performance cars. Just a few blocks away was Woodward Avenue. The Ramchargers were a few blocks from my house. Yes....I was a lucky kid.

    Track appears to be banked,. Aren't horse tracks flat?
