Hot Rods Is your daily driver Hamb friendly?

I drive my old Beater as much as possible but with the Boss Lady's business it's not as often as I would like. HRP

What is considered Hamb friendly these days. A fairly open sandwich reading through the forum.

I do not own anything newer than 1940. No commuter, no backup, just prewar Fords.

This is my current daily. Just a little beater rescue project with a shame motor and automatic.

Right now, my only HAMB friendly vehicle isn't even driveable, and my daily for sure isn't or ever will be, 2010 Freightliner Cascadia....

My grandpa is 80, and for as long as I've had memories he's driven his 65 Mustang convertible almost every day during the summer, no power steering, no power brakes with a three speed slush box.

3banjos is saying that most of the cars on this site are off brands that were never considered as material as a traditional hotrod. It looks like anything older than '65 is accepted here

 

Well, according to my wife, I drive her crazy every day and she's a 1947 model & HAMB friendly, so I'd have to say "Yes!"

 

That’s what I drive. They’re great trucks. You’re gonna like it.

We drive our Hot Rods as much as we can but with the traffic here you’re asking for trouble driving them daily. I would do it if I could though.

 

I drive my HAMB friendly vehicle pretty much everyday... but it is not my DD.
My DD is used to pick up all the HAMB friendly parts...and the 100 mile freeway round trip to work every day

This should be part of the poll. It is possible some of the above guys DO only have old shit like me, BUT, do they use the wifeys or girlfriends car when you go to a huge mall lot, the airport , vacations, trips at the holidays ???... most times they DO have a modern car or truck in the yard

My newest of three registered cars in a 1970 semi custom OT wagon,, then a 66 truck which only gets out to haul big things, and the 32 Ford, which is my most driven car. I'm headed out right now with the 32... I love driving old stuff, live alone, so no backup modern car, no triple A, no cell, no worrys...

It is a feeling of "reliving youth"? or finally driving a rod full time like you dreamed of when you were a kid building AMT models? I wish I did this earlier than 1995 when I started only having oldies.

 

Close but not fully H.A.M.B. compliant. Will be getting bias plies soon. The 392 hemi motor looks close, but for an MSD ignition and 16 pretty well hidden injectors. The interior looks right except for a tilt column. The body is pretty much right. The overall look is right, in my opinion. I am happy with it.

I go through about a tank of gas a week from spring to the rainy season, then it is garaged to keep the interior dry, but gets used during dry spells.

 

I have a relatively new car for the wife me always oldies.
