Free of pain at last, and meeting all the Hot Rod greats that arrived before him. Bob is someone a whole lot of us will never forget, and that tells the whole story. He gave us all special memories we get to keep until we meet again. Thank You Bob K.

My wife and I took a 200 mile cruise in Bob's memory today. Gene

  13. Charlie...do you remember this day? You guys stopped to see "Tic Toc's"model A roadster in Council Bluffs, Iowa. With Purple Pickup and some other guys. Bob was in rare form and having fun as always.....
Now, Bob and Tic Toc both are gone.

  20. I sure do Rocky. We were on our way to Bonneville. The next day we drove up Pikes Peak, Bob got dehydrated and we took him to ER in Colorado Springs...he thought he was having a heart attack...we finally sprung him in the late afternoon and made Durango that night....Wolf Creek Pass and all. While Bob was in ER we changed the carb on his old Chevy. That was another EPIC trip with Bob and the rest of our gang also included Ohiobluetip and Slocro.

Doesn't take much work to get a road trip story out of me. Especially one with Bob.

  21. After meeting at the Night Owl for a burger we went to the Cheaters show and Bob says take a picture and post it so people know i'm still here. Love this guy and he will never be forgotten.

I was blessed to have met Bob at NSRA Nats several years ago. I had heard so much about him on the HAMB and was thrilled to see him cruising in his convertible when I arrived at the fairgrounds in Louisville. I was able to speak with him the next day and introduce myself. What a great guy!

In my opinion, he is a legend and should be inducted into the HAMB Hall of Fame!

Hey Rocky, those other two guys were Ken and me. Here's a couple of film shots from that trip. I think this is where Bob decided to build a "tub", which he later decided not. Frank Tub.jpg build review.jpg TickToc's.jpg

Wow, reading all these posts and so many guys talking about meeting and knowing Bob, and you look at their location and they are all over the country, and down under too. Amazing, simply amazing! I did not know Bob, and from what I'm reading I missed out. Such a shame for the world to lose such a man as this.

  29. I'm still at a loss of words......I really don't know what to say, I could spend hours typing stories....
Lost a true friend, a real hot rodder, a traveling knome, santa clause....a person who made this world a better place, touched so many lives, and always had a smile and a hug for ya.
I can still hear him yelling at me....."Jeffrey, if I hear you drove through Annnteeegooo and don't stop by, I'm going to............."

    RIP BobK
