Moved the car under it's own power all the way to the end of the driveway and back today. No problems so far!:) Hopefully interior next month and then the front end parts and start driving it. D IMG_1298.JPG

Nothing feels quite like driving your own creation for the first time. She looks beautiful! Have fun shaking her out.

mine was 10 years due to no funds and no dedicated permanent work area set aside in my shop...so often sat for 2 year spans with no work done.

now....I cannot stop racking the miles up... even in snow and road salt...it got so addictive beyond my comprehension.

BTW, that build would look great as is, OR with the front fenders... which certain cars can do.. nice job! ...Love that sbc motor's "looks" in the way that you dressed it up :)

  7. Good for you. To bad your driveway wasn't a Mile long. My turns coming I swear.

Thanks all. Missed about a year working on it due to a bout with cancer. While I was laid up with chemo and radiation treatments, two REAL good friends came and got it and painted it for me. I have been after it pretty hard the last year. Looking forward to doing some traveling in it before long. Sad part is that several friends have passed without getting to ride in it like they wanted to. D

This is THE reason to go run the wheels off of it. I do, as I had a serious "time" last year.. now, I just gotta drive..a lot...Does NOT need to be trips to distant places, just find nice places around your area to use as a reason to get in it. That works great for me. I went out with mine after posting above here, knowing a band of bad storms were coming...who Frik'n cares LMAO!!

That really is unfortunate and I do know what you feel...but...the past no longer exists...the "now" is the only thing that is real. Enjoy it, ...for all the reasons you spoke of in your recent life's journey

Congratulations! I guess the length of the driveway can count as your first drive!

it sure does count, .....after seeing an inanimate vehicle sitting in the shop for 10 long years.. that first drive is a "rush"
