    Hello,

I purchased this car (along with my parents help) here in Colorado and was hoping there might be someone who knows some history.
The owner has had it for the past 32 years and it has a stamped plate on the firewall that indicates it was rebuilt in 1970 and the car currently has 3,900 miles. The gentleman who passed away never let it see rain and only drove it to local car shows, per his wife.
Hoping someone can help me out with its history so I can keep records.

I want your parents to be my parents. I don't care if I am older than they are!! Lol.
Do you know how fortunate you are to have your parents?

    Very cool car!

Congrats. Remember 1936 Ford coupe rear fenders are very rare and impossible to find. So, take care.

19518974-2FAE-41FD-A64F-33972499B47D.jpeg Thanks everyone. It’s truly an amazing find and it took us 4 years to purchase it. My Mom had a Procharged, 2003 ZO6 that she could no longer shift (6-speed car) after she battled with breast cancer very easily and she enjoyed it for 10 years so we pooled our money and acquired this ‘36.
There was some handwritten paperwork that we found with the car saying it had won a Dearborn Award but have not confirmed this yet.
I’m leaving the car original to keep the value up but haven’t ruled out a drop axle to get the nose down a tad. Personal preference of mine.
I will search the Internet from the Vin and registry to see if there is anything I can find on it.
It seems to fit right in with the odd-garage. Haha
    Thanks again-

In my opinion when it comes to 36 Fords, you hit the jackpot! I see you some other nice looking toys in the garage.

Money, when viewed as value "in the future" has no real value. Money has value only when it is exchanged for something.;)

sounds like you like rods:), so do as your gut says.....and if you can't find the history of that car, you control & make the history of it from the "now".

Is that Marty McFly's Delorean hiding in the corner of your garage? The '36 is quite the time machine too. Beautiful car.

That's a nice car. I couldn't cut it up however you can still hot rod it up a bit. Drop axle is a bolt in, a hop up flathead is too. Those things can be done and it returned to stock anytime. Where in Colorado?

Yes, 1981 Delorean was the first car I ever purchased (20+ years ago) and my Daughter loves going to school in it now.

The 1967 C10 (850 hp) we built last year to replace my other passion of Top Fuel Motorcycles that I’ve raced for the past 10+ years. 255mph in 5 seconds is hard to replace but I’ve managed to find new avenues to spend time with my family now and cars are easier to take passengers in. Haha

  22. Me and my wife have no parents and are currently up for adoption. Thank your parents and be very gracious. Tell your Mom Best wishes with her cancer, both my and wife's mothers both beat it. I recognize the name now. Not racing anymore?

  23. That body style in that color is probably the best creation of Ford motor company.

Your parents must be trying to tell you something about 2 wheels:

That is a great looking Washington Blue 3 window '36. You said you are in Colorado. If you are in the Denver area, this coming Sunday, the Early Ford V8 Club is holding what we call Fords at the Fort, that's Ft. Logan. Please contact me directly if you want more details, [email protected].
