Skirts are gay. Might as well get some torque thrusts, a Mustang II, a crybaby doll, some curb feelers and billet steering wheel to go with them if you're getting some.

  3. I better run out to the shed and remove the skirts from 4 of my cars that have them, because I dont want my wife to think I have switched sides. Thanks for the hint.

Ok, might as well chime in. Design. Design. Design. Some designs like em, some don't. For a more "raw" or hot rodded look you can go without. For the general look of speed and perhaps hovering vs rolling, use em. Skirts add length and lower the visual profile. Is that what you want? Some do, some don't. Is it kool without? How well is the rest designed? Will it cry for them or feel over done if added? Only your hair dresser knows for sure...

My 46 without and with. Honestly, I am not sure which looks better.

Cars look good with skirts, as well as women. Scan0616.jpg

I run my car both ways just for a change. I like it either way. I also change Wheel Discs regularly

  13. Good answer.
I also change shift knobs depending on my mood, the alignment of the stars or the wind direction. I have 6 or more that I rotate as often as I change my undershorts (every couple months).
To have just one shift knob? ......Now that's dumb! :p

But all seriousness aside...... To skirt or not to skirt is not a yes/no issue. If you're honest, you have to say you like 'em both. It just depends. Some cars cry out to look like a turtle contemplating the inside of its shell. Some look super with their wheels out in the fresh air. I'm also going to say, I think they were a fad that took on a life of their own and multiplied in some locals but not so much or at all in others. These days, it's nice to see a mix of both at cruises and shows. Wouldn't it be totally boring to see only one or only the other all the time?

Scan0290.jpg Scan0286.jpg Since most people don`t like pickups with skirts. I`d thought I`d post a few.

  17. I don't mind skirts on some cars, but I can't stand the look of bubble skirts.

  18. This is like a Cilantro argument...some people love it others cant stand it. I like skirts on customs,If I don`t like something I`ll move on. why get your knickers in a knot if it`s not your car? BTW I will donate all Cilantro to those who enjoy it.

I've never liked fender skirts on anything. Just my opinion.
