Awesome pictures Tim you’re living right ;)

    I’m almost jealous :D

I’ll be calling you in the near future to place an order for some fuel system fittings for my Strombergs.

Your little roadster is a great little car, anxious to see what you do with the wife’s coupe.

Tim...That red turned out like a shade I tried hard to get! (my choice was spotted on a blood red '74 Porsche Carrera I had in the shop...German 'Sikkens' paint)

However, when delivered, the red in the can was lighter...(as always!)
Never did shoot it, my pal Gary shot his '28 Phonebooth truck with it. Looked too 'light'.
Roadster is pure perfection. You sit 'right', hard to do in a '27...

Back in the late 80's they took the lead out of paint, Gards Red 027 Porsch color you were able to panel paint and get a perfect match, when they took the lead out you wound up with a Orange cast and you had to blend and tint it to get it close. It did not matter is you used Glasurit or Sikkens it did not match. That was the beginning of what I call transparent paint, and lots of blending.
I have always like that color

Hey Tim, are you going to start a thread on the Bonneville roadster?

  9. Hadn't really thought about it since it was a car already built by another person, just being changed up a bit by me. When I run it I may just post some pictures with results. Good ones I hope. ;)

Starting to look pretty good though.

Who was the builder of your car?

  20. Not sure who "built" it but I bought it from a fellow named Larry in Golden CO. It has run at Bonneville a few times and passes tech easily. Good log book, had it looked over already by SCTA inspectors.

How did you determine the best lenght for the intake snout to protrude beyond the body?

  24. I didn't. I bought this car built, someone else figured it out. Just want to get the car out and running then figure out what real changes need to be made. This car has already been 208, has a log book and passes tech. Better deal price wise than building one from scratch.

    Ok thanks and good luck.

  26. Even a pretty Hot Rod likes to get thrashed now and then. Met up with the Rolling Bones guys and a few other special friends last week after speed week out at El Mirage for a little merriment and racing. Ran the little T hard and got her a little dirty. Good fun. ;):D

Need to get that flathead to joplin next August! Need way more flatheads racing for the new class, ok and I’d just love to see you and @T&A Flathead pair off!

  29. Great stuff Tim! Did you happen to meet up with Bruce and the Hypersonic? I helped him build the flathead (over numerous phone calls and "bench racing" sessions!). He texted me and said he had a great time at the meet.
