I'm not a Ford guy. So much that I'm not even sure if this IS a Ford, ha ha but I assume it is. I saw it today at our local Walmart, Duarte, CA.

So cool that it is being driven as an ordinary car. The paint is THICK and so thoroughly cooked it looks like alligator skin as you can see. Remnants of an old flame job on it and has a SBC in it. Wheels are all wrong but since I don't have one who the hell am I to comment?

  8. Hell yeah, I would drive that! Looks like someone did a spray on windshield tint at some point and it's now almost all worn off.

  9. .........................Plates, who needs plates??!! I'm guessing it may have one of those "start the engine and the plate flips down from its' hidden position."

High Tech like Aye... it was either the electric fan or the disappearing plate thingy...:D...now they had a Leatherback Coupe...did they have a Leatherbody Roadster...:p

By the way @Dan in Pasadena me thinks its a 1930 Ford Roadster with 32 Ford bumpers and a sheep shagging interior with hideous wheels.

You opened the hood on somebody else’s car while they were in Walmart?

Seeing this reminded me of the the old Budget Beater Model A Roadster project that Hot Rod Magazine did back around 2001. I wonder where that car is today?

Ah got it. Had to go back and look. In The photo with the shadow I thought there were hood sides.

I believe those tops operate much the same as the VW camper. Pops up for headroom. They have been around for some time.

I like the roadster.....yes, change those wheels but that's a very small item.
Notice the shortened tail light brackets.

The hyde from a gator is known to hold up much better than the hyde from a nauga. Deciding between the appearance of each is a personal choice. o_O

Reminds me of my first attempt at painting at the school of trial and error many years ago.

Threw them on to get driving is my guess.
