Technical Dropped axle needs a little help

Help! My dropped axle like it's owner is a little off. Approx a 1/4 to be exact. Can anybody recommend someone that can straighten it. I'm in Bakersfield .CA.

The inclination or is it bent?

 

The inclination. It came out from under an AV8 that was built in the 50's and street rodded in the 80's. When the car was being gone through the owner chose to replace with a new axle instead of have this one fixed.

I sent an email to them a few days ago but hadn't heard back. Wasnt sure if he was still around. I'll probably just have to give him a call next time I have a day off.

The right side needs a bit more drop to get the inclination right?

Sid seems to be busy with a new building according to his FB page

We had had an old dropped I beam straightened at a big truck alignment place a few years ago

 

Sorry, no. The driver side end at the king pin holes is approx 1/4 fwd which would technically give it a slight negative caster. Or at least I would think??

There is a man in cali that does good work.Hopefully someone here will know his info.

 

Call a truck alignment shop, they might be able to help.

If you have access to a hydraulic press, you can straighten it. That’s what whoever you send it to will do. Take your time and bend a little at a time.

 

Use Anson.....Greg did this exact same thing for me and it came back perfect. I week turn around. He's in Auburn.....

 

Do it yourself Like he said. The hard part is done,just needs to be tweaked in.

 

He and Sid help each other out. They are both good guys.

My vote goes to Okie Joe at Joe's Speed Shop also. He did mine. Incredible knowledge and craftsmanship. He has the jigs and YEARS of experience.

Try Ansen Axle in the Sacramento area. He's in Ford Barn a lot.
