He did! Not as much build detail on this one, but lots of things we did different. It will be all fresh material.

Boy oh boy, been a long time fellas. My apologies.

Rolled it out to work on odds and ends. So many little things, seems like it'll never get done.

Little shit goes on forever! Will it ever end?

Our 18 year old fits under the dash much better than I do. Granted, he's an inch taller but 100 lbs lighter...

Been doing a bunch of this...

And ate a shit ton of these.

So where the car now? Still in the garage. In fact, I saw it 10 minutes ago. Here's my checklist:
    1. Install fusible link
    2. Install grounds (body/frame, frame/engine)
    3. Connect battery and test all electrical
    4. Fill all fluids
    5. Fire and pray
    6. See if it moves under its own power
    7. Hang doors and deck lid
    8. Finish polishing paint
    9. Have Brad King stripe it
    10. Drive the shot out of it
    11. Interior this fall

I could do 1 through 7 in a weekend, I just haven't had time. REALLY trying to make it to LARS this year. Anyone want to come help?

  7. Great to see you back here and getting the Roadster sorted and I would love to come and give you a hand to get it to LARS, well I can in 13 months. :D JW

I wish. Someone bought the 1/2 acre next door and is building a house and shop. He's a car guy with a '68 Bronco and a '33 Ford truck cab he wants to rat rod. I'll solve that though.

My shop will be happening, just too many irons in the fire right now.

Thanks Blue, that stuff looks awesome! Although I'd prefer the exact color you've done, the wife wants chrome headers.

Matt frome Gear Drive has a coating process that looks like chrome but reportedly never blues or yellows. And they can do it on headers that have been run so I think we're going to try that.

That would probably be silver ceramic Eric,
Matt didn’t do mine, but I had them and the rest of my exhaust system done here locally.

A few weeks ago a older friend fell at a small car show I was at. He seemed okay but decided to go home. I followed them to help Ed in the house as Sharon isn't really able to help him around much.

I hadn't seen their '32 roadster in a few years, but there it was in the garage, so I asked about it. Seems Ed had started replacing the taillights two years ago and never finished, so he never drove it again.

I stopped by about a week later and finished his wiring. Took all of 20 minutes. They were so grateful and took it to the first car show in years.

They stopped by tonight with a "thank you" for me, nicest damn couple you'll ever meet!

    20180515_203810.jpg

    Yeah, they're GOOD!

Rolled the roadster out for them. They approved.

It's looking good Eric, I could probably find the answer if I dug, but what did your wheelbase end up to be ?

    Lucky wife.
Don’t be surprised if someone decides to delete the photo from your thread, it happened to me when I posted a picture of my shiny new awesomely blue F150 truck.
And it was even on subject for the thread which was about nice shades of blue. :D

I could do it if I had a whole day. I just don't have time right now. Worked 14 hours Friday, Saturday and 10 hours today. Back at it again tomorrow before 7 AM.
