    It also looks like your car has the Palamino interior, nice combination.
    The original caps were die cast, the reproduction caps were brass.

    How did they fit a 10" slick on the back? Move the leaf springs in-board?

    I just read a post that just came in, it has some photos of Don Nicholson’s ‘64 and mentions the name of the wheel that I did not know the name of. Here is the post: 64/65 Comets old drag cars lets see pictures

    Probably going with Torq Thrust D. They have an 8" with 4.5 backset to tuck the tires under and a 4 1/2 for the front wheels. The back wheels on the Chrisman car look like these IMHO.

    The front wheels on the 64' car were 15" X 4" magnesium American 5 spokes. When our dad bought the Chrisman 65' car in 1983 it actually had the front wheels Chrisman ran on the 64' still on it. The rears were 16 X 10 Magnesium americans.
