Washed off the dead bugs and road grime from last weekends trip to Evansville, in anticipation of adding some new dead bugs and road grime on Friday / Saturday. Weather forecast looks good, too.

  2. Plan to do cleanup in the morning. Still dirty from the Lone Star Roundup. Leaving right after lunch. Looking forward to Wisconsin fish fry for dinner. Then cruise night in Oconomowoc.

    See everyone soon.

Harley Museum in Milwaukee is pretty cool, we went on the way home from last year's run.

See y'all Saturday, look for the stupid '63 BelAir wagon with the crazy interior. If you can make it Saturday night to the north side of Madison, the Lazy Oaf Lounge is right on Hwy 51 & you can check out southern Wisconsin's most adequate honky-tonk band & probably talk me into buying you a beer. - Dave

I wasn't smart enough to bring my camera, & I'm old school: flip phone that takes crappy pics. I'm sure someone will post some up soon. It was a little dreary to start the day, but it cleared up nicely. Met some new guys. Was surprised to see some guys I know, that I didn't expect to be there. There were several "alternate routes" taken by more than a few. It was a little funny to drive to Johnson Creek for the start, then drive back through the town I live in, & around Lake WI where some got lost, but a couple of us knew those roads well. Pretty good day.

Getting lost is an annual ritual on the HRH. Sometimes it's the Hot Rod 150.

Weather was good, better than it looks in the pics. Mostly cloudy, but there were peeks of sunshine, and cool but not cold temperatures.

Another great HRH! Neil & Ronny did a great job again this year. Neil's route was fantastic, great scenery, good test of suspension travel and handling. Registration was once again well organized by Angela (and her crew)!

It was a great ride. Very friendly people, we met a few we we remembered from last year, and a few we look forward to seeing again. Very nice scenic country roads.

At more then one place we passed hot rods going the other direction. We were not sure if we were going the wrong direction, or if they were. As far as I know, we only went past one turn by about a mile before we realized our mistake and got back on track, but we went past a few of the local guys that were sitting at a stop, and they were at the finish point before we got there, so who knows? It was all in good fun.

The weather was much better then last year! We are already looking forward to next year. Gene

Just got home. Had a great time on the "Ride through the Woods". Was a little rough at times but still a fun time. Saturday was Jan's birthday also, Ronny shared his Birthday Cake with us so she didn't have to go without. Thanks to him and a special Thanks to Clay and the Cross Members for making our trip possible. We went to Spring Green Saturday night and stayed at the Silver Star Bed and Breakfast, a really nice place, and had Supper at Bitch'n Bob's Bar B Q in downtown Dodgeville. Great food, fast, friendly service. After breakfast Sunday morning Jan got her wish to visit the House on the Rock, a three and a half hour tour, had to cut it short cuz I ran out of Back and Leg, then onto Red Wing, Mn. for an overnite visit with Jan's cousin and his wife. It was a fun weekend, met some real nice people, had some great food, killed a bunch of mosquito's, one Woodtick, covered the car with bugs and mud, but, it was good to get home! Hope everybody made it home safe, we'll do it again next year, Rick, Jan and Shadow.
