Looks like somebody converted a 4 door into a two door.

She should make a nice cruiser. I would save my green stamps and go to bed every night writing a letter to Santa to stuff a Hemi under the hood on Christmas or any day. I know Steven King has cast a dark shadow on these cars but before that there was Hot Rod Magazine's "Suddenly", that ran at Bonneville. A friend in the old days had a four door our gang of highschool hoodlums rode around in, and it was no slouch. Good on you. I know this is the custom side of town but, I see it looking more stock, with more rumble. And, solid white to hoodoo away the Christine voodoo. To me that would get old fast.

I love these cars, I would really like to have a '57 or a '58 someday.

hint-hint, there's a whole set of that 58 Plaza 2 door side trim on eBay right now really cheap, hint-hint.

Had a 57 Savoy 2dr. hardtop in the early 60's. Was the Plaza the base, Savoy mid, and Fury top of the line?

I believe you had the Belvedere between the Savoy and Fury as well

If I had one I'd have to change that side glass to one piece even though it wouldn't roll down very far for that very reason.

"fortynut" - I have the hemi (a '56 331 truck engine) and have always wanted to put it in a '57 Savoy 2 door. A friend of mine had one in the early '60's, but they are almost non-existent now because they were VERY rust prone. For some reason, I have to have a '57 (maybe it's the single headlights and the full height tail lights). The '58's just don't do it for me.

If the good runnin' stock '56 331 with a car 4 BBL don't do it for me, I always have the motor in my avatar that has a full load in it.

  16. I like it. We had a light blue 57 Fury, a 58 Golden Commando, and a 59 Sport Fury. My mom wishes she could have kept the Sport Fury. Supposedly the Golden Commando went to Hollywood.

Has to be a stump puller with that rear gear.
