    I was to young to understand the different brands. This is the only picture I have of the truck. Only remember it being red. Like my grandfathers crawler, I always thought it was a Caterpillar, but a friend pointed out it was an Oliver. What makes you think it may be a REO???

    My dad took me to the hardtop races in Stockton at The 99 Speedway as early as 1956 (I was about 9). The names I remember most are your uncle Joe Giusti and Johnny Brazil. I took my daughter to a few races at The 99 Speedway in the 90's and heard the name Johnny Brazil...maybe he was related to the original Johnny Brazil.
    And you were right about you uncle being a crowd favorite. How else would I remember the name after 60 + years?
