Features DeSoto Grills

I picked up a '55 DeSoto grill to spruce up the front end of my '55 Ford with some custom flair.



Curious to see pictures of DeSoto grills in old customs and tradition customs other than 49-51 Mercs.

This one influenced me to get one for my Vicky.

 

The white one is bitchen. That grille will look good in the black one, but lose the bumper guards.

 

Bumper guards need to be tossed for sure.

Using a 54 Desoto grill in my 53 Ford convertible build. Took several years to find one.

 

My 51 Merc built by Dean Jeffries in the mid 50's.One more pic from Car Craft!

 

My first car in 1966.......'53 Mainline with '54 DeSoto grille, '56 Olds tailights and '56 Ford full wheelcovers.

I'll dig around, but I may only have a couple. After a few years I traded it in and got this.........

 

I do still have the owner's manual from the '53.

I realize i am reviving a dead thread but how much fab is needed to put a Desoto grill on a ford. I was looking to do this to my 52 vicky. Thanks

 

haha. how funny. I have the same exact one. accept mine was in prestine condition. lol
