In short my great uncle passed away. He has collected roadster and general model A stuff for years and always wanted to put a few together. Unfortunately that never happened.

I have been slowly pulling everything out and putting it together as I can. Bodies stuffed in barns and up in hay lofts. So far it looks like there is around 8 roadster bodies, one 29' roadster pickup, one 30' cabriolet, one complete 30' coupe, one 30' coupe with back cut up, And a bunch of random side pannels and what not. Roadsters vary from awesome to closer to yard art.

I just thought you guys would appreciate what a cool collection he had. Here is just the parts I have brought home. 20180426_103618.jpg 20180426_103539.jpg 20180426_103719.jpg 20180421_161721.jpg 20180406_133752.jpg 20180505_123005.jpg 20180505_142835.jpg 20180502_130140.jpg 20180421_183128.jpg

Nice! Looks like he had most of the good stuff stored inside sheds and such. Do you have room to do the same? Please don't leave it sit outside for years, and PLEASE don't let your heirs say:

That's a heck of a good collection, a guy could build a lot of hotrods out of all of that stuff.

I'll keep a good 29 to build a traditional out of. Maybe one extra! And sell everything else. Give my great aunt the money.

She deserves all the money she can get for having to "sit in the with the babies" while him and my grandpa pulled parts out of the desert in the early 60s

Yeah he did! I have a few more barns to go through. Then I'll sell everything I can't keep. Even though we don't battle rust much here on the high desert still don't like to let my stuff set out!

  18. Thanks for sharing thus here. It's been awhile since we've had a thread like this, to my knowledge.

Great find. Now, if you can find the top assembly for that Cabriolet, you really hit it big.

At 79 and trying to hide from the grim repaper myself my heartfelt regrets are for your uncle and condolences to his family. Man what a treasure you have on your hands.

I was thinking the same thing except that around here we call it a Scoot.

Thanks for being generous and sharing your great uncles treasures. You will sure be be the most popular guy around when time comes to list these. Not often some share the family pics with like minded HAMBers. Thanks a bunch. It restores the faith that they are out there. You certainly have some inventory to go through, what to keep and what to let go.
It would be awesome if and when you make your decisions you can let it go on here ,so we can all enjoy your uncles treasures.
