Hot Rods The NEW 1932 Ford Roadster Pic Thread!!!

  1. I had the good fortune to be a teenager in the early sixties growing up in Southern California. Had I not gotten the '51 Merc tudor I had in high school, I've imagined I'd have done something like this.............if I'd had the skill and focus. Hey, it took me close to 50 years to get there, but the journey has been fun.............here's what '63 could have looked like when what we now call traditional roadsters where transitioning from flatheads and steelies to small block Chevs and those new fangled 5 spokes............. 2. Almost 20 years ago I bought a roadster at the LARS that was stuck in the late '70s resto rod mode. Spent a few weekends blowing it apart, repainting some of it, tossing the Zenith wires, altering the stance and a few other tweaks and ended up with this............. DSCN0038a.jpg

Thanks to 383deuce for posting the pictures. Very few people ever saw these cars as I only had them in my booth in Louisville and then they were sold overseas.

So good to see that someone is changing the way photos are posted . So disappointing to open a thread only to see red X's everywhere.

Still building mine with all original parts and hardware which is costly and time consuming to tracking down all the pieces, but this car was built almost entirely using the HAMB classified and the Ford Barn

This is the same car as the 3rd picture in 32Dan's post above.
A lot of work with not much visual change, but that's what it's all about, right?

Yes, it is awesome that is why I couldn't bring myself to paint it, besides with the patina on it no one will doubt its an original.

Here is my 32 roadster project. Me and So Cal Tex are friends and building our roadsters around the same time. He's going a little more genuine 32 then me. Chassis is all 32 with a 39 box, and 39 Lincoln brakes. IMG_20180427_120202225_HDR.jpg IMG_20180427_120202225_HDR.jpg IMG_20180411_134943026.jpg IMG_20180309_114525315.jpg IMG_20180309_114618183.jpg
