Not trying to be funny or an ass but driven from where? Home, the hotel or the gas station down the street? I am guessing that as long as you drive through the gates you are good.

No sedans are cool... I should have put that in there too... So, yeah - sedans are accepted.

And driven through the gates - no support vehicles.

Will your AV-8 be entering Mr. Ryan?

  7. I like that idea. A street driven flatty has little chance in competition but I love watching them run. If gives the flathead guys a chance to strut their stuff and people like me a chance to see them run without wading through the valve in head motors.

Will this class be under the have to have a scatter shield rule?

I can't speak for Ryan or the guys at the track.. But I have helped tech cars on Friday nights at the HAMB Drags for the past 4-5 years. If a car is running slicks, that is when we look for a scatter shield.

Like I said I was hoping that was the case it seems a little ridiculous if we had to have one. I've never got to race there and was planning on racing my model a sedan with her little 21 stud this year

  16. Probably get by as there is no such a thing as a tin can for a flathead backed up by a '39 tranny. LOL

Maybe we can wrap an old indian blanket around it and say that its got a blanket. :D

I personally would like to see the pits full of street drivers no matter the motor like it was in the first few years.

I didn't even notice the pants at first. I was thinking "I wouldn't wear yellow and maroon either".

  26. I think for the most part when a scatter shield becomes totally necessary on the kind of cars that we drive is when someone is running a lightened fly wheel. The majority of us are just not throwing that much meat at one. I am building with one on my current project, but I needed a bell anyway and this way I don't drive 150+ miles to get told to sit in the bleachers (I hope)

Like the boss said that little roadster has got it in spades my friend..

The fine for excessive excessiveness was only 50 dollars and court costs, and I am not that picky about what I eat they were probably not serving raisin pie.

I didn't notice the color of the car at all. LOL

Will flathead roadsters need a roll bar?

This car may have to make a return trip to Missouri.
