What bothers me, is that when someone posts a question, "I can't start my car", "my car doesn't stop", "I have electrical problems" etc, they seldom ever get back and let us know how they made out. At the very least when 5, 10, 20 whatever, people take the time to solve someones problem the very least they should do is thank, and let us know what the problem was. Am I wrong?

I usually try to follow up on my query for advice. Although I haven't got back on my last question as I haven't sorted it all out as of yet. But when I do I'll let you all know.:) Bill

Typical. Never time for courtesy after you get what you need.
I’d bet 60% don’t follow up after the solution was found.
I try to always give credit for the help I receive.

Probably leave the toilet seat up too.

  13. Don't get me started on the battle of the toilet seat. I've won the argument, all one needs to do is teach the female the importance of looking before they sit.
When the womans leaves objects on the chair, sofa, car seat,,, just plop your ass down on the seating surface right on top of what ever they left there. By about the third time you do that all hell breaks loose and you'll be receiver the look before you sit lecture. Then simply apologize and ask if that applies to the toilet seat as well. You never have to deliver one syllable of the look before you sit lecture. Feel free to ask her questions about the lecture, it's important aspects and why it's your responsibility to look and not hers to plop stuff on the seating area.

I no longer have to worry about the toilet lid. After 45 years next week, my wife toilet trained me. Never was a good shot.

  25. Closely related to the first post. I hate it when the poster immediately goes to the internet, instead of looking the new car over first. We're supposed to know everything about every car and then research it for him, while he's got the car right in front of him. At least he says he does anyway.o_O

You’re not alone, and it’s not unique to H.A.M.B. A guy named Eric posted this

    http://catb.org/esr/faqs/smart-questions.html

a long time ago. It’s been updated through the years, but the essential truth is still there. It’s something about the H.A.M.B. that I find familiar and comfortable.

Yeah, I agree with the premise that folks should report back with what fixed the problem.
An even bigger irritant is when you've got a long thread on the problem, and it's explained early on that such and such, let's just say TDC marks have been checked using the positive stop method, and then a couple pages over some guy who obviously hasn't carefully read the previous posts and starts in about TDC marks being off.
But if you REALLY WANT TO PISS ME OFF, just squirt chicken shit between your 2 front teeth at me:D:eek:
