I'm tentatively planning to head up there a little on the late side (as usual).

Still looking for a good 28/29 cab.

Thanks Abone. So is this a good meet for A stuff up through the 30's?? I know Fitchburg was the one to go to but I couldn't make it there.

There was more A stuff at Fitchburg than I've ever seen. They actually extended the vending area to the far side of the " show cars". Prices were excellent too. I spent money I couldn't afford on parts I don't even need! Whaddya mean sick! Hahahaha

LOL! Maybe I'll see you there! I'm still debating if I should hack off the Mustang 2 on my tudor (that came with it) and go original, dropped, juice brakes/F1 brakes, etc. I'd like to do what 1stGrump did by using a stock (not dropped) 35 axle, 33/34 bones, reverse eye main spring and removing #2 and 3 leaf. Looks killer and you don't need to drop the axle. Old school!

NED swap is a little of everything as far as year of manufacture and make. They do try to keep it a high percentage of auto related items, but a little yard sale stuff is always there. I like it because a lot of the old " Amherst" crowd goes there, AND it's a 25 minute shot up 95 North for me. Always a good reason to take a cruise, drink coffee, and BS with old friends! ( and pick up an old style front end!!)

Thanks Mike. Its a 2 hour ride for me so I'll probably get there around 6:30 (If I go, assuming the weather isn't too bad!).

Anyone else going? I've made my list and ready to shop!

    --35/36 axle
    --32-36 spindles or?
    --Model A spring
--Bones, prefer 33/34 reasonably priced of course which goes for everything here..lol
--Backing plates preferably for F1 if affordable but juice brakes if not.
    --Model A headlights
    --Vega box
I need a bunch of other stuff but that's all I can do for now.

Well, the turnout was pretty good for a March, drizzeling, cold day ( oh, wait its almost May)
    Mud City
Met "Nashrodman" and saw a bunch of other HAMBERS ( Pete , A-bones and his Dad, and Blindowl), some Strokers, Cam Snappers, Mass Street Rod guys, hillbillies, outlaws and a variety of ner' do wells.
Foggy at 5:30, then sprinkling, then a deluge of rain around 9.

Doesn't matter if you win or loose- most important thing is SHOW UP for every game!

Yep, it was great meeting you Mike! I scored a complete front end from hub to hub with a dropped axle. All I need is shackles, bones, vega box & bracket and column! Since it was a package deal with nearly everything included I'm not gonna drop it the way I mentioned above. Plans are meant to be changed, right??! Lol

This is about 2 miles from Mike "the Pirate" s house!
Should be a good one- they have one at the "Gathering" that gets better every year.
Find "Adam401" if he shows. Quality merchandize at bargain prices (plug)
There was also a speed shop that had tons of good stuff.

Be there, or be Square, Daddio! DSCN3211.JPG

It's a wayse out still but advance weather forecast for June 24th indicates Partly Cloudy and low/High of 61/81°! I'm going to try and get out to this one to look for a couple things.

Did you guys get the notification of the Gathering of the Faithful swap on 23 June in the same location that they have the cruise in October? I'll be at that one but not the NED swap.

The July 29th swap is on my birthday weekend and I'm fixin to actually show up. My 29 A cab needs a bit more stuff than I anticipated, so I'm on the lookout for 28/29 A cab bits and maybe a bed.
